The seafront area in Compostela continues to be one of the relaxing places to visit in northern Cebu. During our recent visit, we enjoyed the peaceful sea view, fresh air, and the simple moments of watching people enjoy their afternoon by the water.

From the photos, the area already shows a lively atmosphere. Small food stalls and mobile carts can be seen serving snacks, drinks, and local street food. Families and groups of friends were gathered around the seafront, eating and spending quality time together. Some visitors were fishing quietly near the shore, while others simply sat by the water browsing their phones and enjoying the calm surroundings.

One of the fun scenes we noticed was the group of kids and young people happily jumping into the sea and swimming near the shoreline. Their laughter and energy added life to the peaceful atmosphere of the area. It was nice to see people simply enjoying the water, cooling off, and making the most of the relaxing seafront environment.
One interesting part of the place is the fresh food section where vendors are selling fish, meat, chicken, and fresh vegetables. The setup gives a mix of a small public market and a seafront food park. Although I have not tried buying yet, I am planning to return in the next few days and update this blog with my experience.

The photos also show several commercial spaces along the baywalk area. There are also restaurants and coffee shops in the area, including Lola Tess Food n Style, where visitors can relax and enjoy food while overlooking the seafront. The modern design of the establishments adds a fresh and welcoming vibe to the place. Some stores are already operating while others are still preparing to open soon.

Another noticeable development is the ongoing construction of the upcoming Gaisano Metro Supermarket. Construction is actively progressing, and many locals are excited because it could bring more convenience and business opportunities to Compostela. The area continues to grow into a modern seafront destination for both residents and tourists.

The baywalk itself is also a great place for a relaxing stroll. The wide walkway beside the calm sea creates a peaceful atmosphere, especially during the late afternoon. Visitors were taking photos near the colorful “Our Home Compostela” sign, while others simply enjoyed the scenic ocean view and cool breeze.

With the combination of seafront views, food stalls, fresh market products, restaurants, coffee shops, swimming areas, and upcoming establishments, this area in Compostela remains a beautiful community space worth visiting.
