The South Road Properties (SRP) transformed into a shimmering stage for “A Night of Music, Fireworks, and Celebration,” the city’s official New Year’s countdown and Sinulog 2024 kickoff.

The night pulsed with anticipation as the clock inched closer to midnight. The Sinulog Idol competition set the stage, with talented Cebuanos showcasing their vibrant dance moves. Local artists, including Agressive Audio, Kurt Fick, Missing Filemon and Rommel Tuico, kept the crowd on their feet with their electrifying performances. Every beat thrummed through the air, each lyric resonated with the hopes and dreams for the year ahead.
Then Came the Moment:
As the final seconds of 2023 ticked away, the energy reached a fever pitch. A collective roar erupted as the Cebu City Councilor Jocelyn Pesquera, Tourism Commissioner, led the countdown. Ten, nine, eight… the anticipation was palpable. Three, two, one… the sky erupted in a dazzling kaleidoscope of colors, showering the crowd in a breathtaking pyrotechnic spectacle. Cheers, laughter, and embraces filled the air as Cebuanos welcomed 2024 with open arms.
